Administrators

I am honored to serve as principal of Blaney Elementary. It is my commitment to serve the students, faculty, parents and community of Elgin as we strive to provide a world-class, learning experience for every child.  I am returning home to Blaney after nine years as an assistant principal at Lugoff Elementary.  I was a classroom teacher for 12 years in grades 3-5 and worked one year as a Reading Coach. I worked in Richland One and continued my educational career at Pine Tree Hill, Blaney and Doby's Mill Elementary. I am a product of USC, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's in Teaching and a Master's in Education Administration. When I'm not working, the best days of my life are spent with my family.  I am married to Barry and we have 4 children, Malia, Bailee, Barry, Baylor and 3 granddaughters. We love going to the beach and watching Tiger football. I am excited for the 24-25 school year because in the "Heart of Elgin" our mission to nurture character, achievement, teamwork and success in every child is possible!

I am elated to serve as the Assistant Principal at Blaney Elementary School! I am committed to building and fostering positive relationships, not only within my school building, but with all stakeholders. I was a classroom teacher for 11 years in grades 3-5. I have worked in Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5, Lexington Two, Richland 2, and Richland One where I began my Administration journey. I am a native of Spartanburg County and a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina where I earned my Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Educational Administration. I also am a proud graduate of Clemson University with a Master's in Literacy with a focus in ESOL. I am married and I have 2 beautiful children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling (the beach is my happy place), and watching tv. Our most favorite time of the year is football season! I am so excited to embark on the 2024-2025 school year in the "Heart of Elgin."
